Yassine Bunu was born on April 5, 1991, is currently a professional footballer for the Moroccan national team, Girona, as a goalkeeper. He represents Canada or Morocco. but chose to represent the latter, appearing with Under. 20 teams in the Tottenham Tournament 2012 played in the tournament during the tournament. He was also selected in the 18 under 23 team for the 2012 Summer Olympics but served as a backup to Mohamed Asif. During the match, which Morocco was eliminated on 14 August 2013, Bunu was called up to the main squad for a friendly match against Burkina Faso. He made his debut the following day, playing both in the second half in an eventual 1–2 defeat in Tangier. And in May 2018, he was named in Morocco's 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
