Celso Borges, born May 27, 1988, is a Costa Rica native who currently plays for Costa Rica's national team as a midfielder. He made his debut for Costa Rica in the June 2008 FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament. with Grenada And in September of the same year, the country scored his first goal against Suriname after the team's successful 2010 World Cup campaign, reaching the 2014 final by finishing second in the CONCACAF qualifying round. In June 2014, Borges was named in Costa Rica's squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. During the round of 16, Borges achieved a 5–3 penalty shootout win over Greece. And in May 2018, he was named in Costa Rica's preliminary squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
